For implementation research year 3, some additions were made to the comic book, including information on calculating the menstrual cycle, disposing of menstrual materials and gender-based violence. Six schools were involved in the study, two of which were schools for young people with disabilities. This year's research was conducted in two phases. The first phase focused on knowing if the comic book is an effective strategy for preventing gender-based violence in schools, identifying more ways to engage boys in reducing menstrual stigma, and knowing if the comic book and peer education are effective strategies for promoting menstrual health and preventing gender-based violence in schools. Using the findings from the first phase of the research, the second phase focuses on identifying strategies that are effective in increasing boys' involvement in the programme.
